What's Ahead For Mortgage Rates This Week-September 30, 2013Economic News Impacting Mortgage Rates This Week

While there isn’t much expected in housing or mortgage related news this week there is a full plate of economic releases on the overall economy that will have a significant impact on mortgage rates. On Tuesday August Construction Spending will be released, Wednesday we will get the ADP employment report which tracks private sector jobs and Thursday brings Freddie Mac’s PMMS report of average mortgage rates and the weekly jobless claims report. Friday brings the big Nonfarm Payrolls report which is released on the first Friday of each month and is tracked closely by the market and the Fed to determine the health of the US economy.

All the economic data takes a back seat this week as the potential for a government shutdown looms large.
